Case Study: StubbysTickets.com
Project Type: Web Design & Development
Organization Profile:
Your home for hard-to-find tickets to the best seats at the game! The Stubby system currently features the best premium seats for all San Francisco Giants home games and we will be expanding our site to serve all other markets shortly.
Project Overview:
The StubbysTickets.com team wanted an easier way to sell tickets than what is currently offered by several other ticket websites. Instead, they wanted to build a site that would make it extremely easy to buy and sell tickets online. In addition to providing easy to use ticket buying and selling tools, the StubbysTickets.com website will remain free to all (buyers and of course ticket sellers).
Project Details:
Overall, this project required a lot of functionality. Not only was the site to be easy for the buyers and seller, but also the administration staff. The team responsible for updating content, cities and new teams, and of course the schedules had to have an easy and intuitive process for making such updates.
Technologies Used:
- CMS Made Simple Core
- Javascript
- PHP/MySQL Database
- Smarty Templates and scripting
- Centralized CSS
Project Features:
- Customized CMS System
- Complete site design
- Customized modular feature sets within CMS Made Simple
- Custom written ticket selling and buying module
- Secure Admin Panel for editing all content
Project Solution:
We began the project by utilizing the CMS Made Simple (content management) core to handle all content related page edits. Shortly after we installed and customized the CMSMS core, we began developing a custom module that plugs into CMS Made Simple’s module management system that handles all buy/sell transactions within the system. In addition, we built in a custom messaging system that allows users (buyers and sellers) to directly discuss tickets and allows buyers to make offers on a ticket set. It also allows Sellers to approve or negotiate the sale for that same ticket set as well.
